Meow: Midnight Run · Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective August 10, 2026
This policy explains what information Gocodingnow Studio processes when you play Meow: Midnight Run, visit this website, use the global leaderboard, or contact us.
1. Who we are
Gocodingnow Studio publishes Meow: Midnight Run. In this policy, “Gocodingnow,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Gocodingnow Studio, and “Services” means the game, this website, and related support services.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@gocodingnow.com.
2. Information we process
Game and leaderboard information
You can play without creating an account or giving us an email address. For the global leaderboard, the game creates a random installation ID and processes your public runner name, best score, rewarded-revive marker, accepted rules version, and any player blocks or reports you submit. Your runner name and score may be visible to other players.
Gameplay analytics
If analytics is enabled, we use an anonymous Mixpanel identifier and process app, platform, and Unity versions; game-open, run, tutorial, and rewarded-revive events; and aggregated gameplay properties. We do not send your runner name or leaderboard installation ID to Mixpanel, and the current game does not intentionally use IDFA for analytics.
Advertising and consent information
Rewarded ads are provided through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may process consent choices, device and app diagnostics, ad requests, rewarded-ad interactions, IP address, and advertising data permitted by your region and choices. Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for consent and provides privacy controls before an ad request is made.
Information stored on your device
The game stores settings, tutorial progress, analytics preference, anonymous leaderboard identity and name, queued score, and local game progress on your device. Platform backup behavior may copy some of this information to a backup associated with your device account.
Website and support information
This website does not currently include an account, contact form, ad, or first-party analytics tracker. A hosting provider may process basic request logs such as IP address, browser information, requested page, and timestamp to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we process your address and message so we can respond.
3. Why we use information
- Operate the game, save preferences, and restore local progress.
- Run the global leaderboard and synchronize queued scores.
- Prevent fraud, enforce community rules, and review reports.
- Understand game performance and improve play balance and usability.
- Offer optional rewarded ads and remember applicable consent choices.
- Answer support, privacy, and moderation requests.
- Protect the Services and comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers to operate specific parts of the Services:
- Convex hosts the realtime leaderboard and moderation data.
- Mixpanel provides optional product analytics.
- Google AdMob and UMP provide rewarded ads and consent tools.
- Platform and hosting providers distribute the game and website.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect players or the Services, or as part of a business transfer. We do not directly sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define advertising disclosures as “sharing” or a “sale”; where applicable, use the game’s privacy choices to manage advertising consent.
5. Your choices and rights
- Turn gameplay analytics off in Settings; this clears queued analytics events and resets the anonymous analytics identity.
- Open Privacy Choices in Settings when Google makes that control available for your region.
- Play without claiming a public runner name, or choose a name that does not reveal personal information.
- Block reported players in the game and clear your block list from leaderboard settings.
- Delete on-device information by clearing app data or uninstalling the game, subject to platform backup behavior.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy decision. Email support@gocodingnow.com to make a request. We may need enough information, such as your public runner name, to locate and verify the relevant record.
6. Retention
On-device information remains until it is cleared, overwritten, or the game is removed. Leaderboard records are generally kept while the leaderboard operates or until a valid deletion request is completed. Reports and moderation records may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, dispute handling, or legal obligations. Support email and provider data are kept only as long as needed for their stated purpose, subject to provider settings and law.
7. Children
The Services are not intended to invite children to submit contact information. Players should not place personal information in a public runner name. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact us at support@gocodingnow.com.
8. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process, but no system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to the safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be announced in the game or through another appropriate notice.
